Complete store connection actions

Once your Shopify store is connected to AfterShip Tracking, there are two actions that we recommend setting up.

Go to your Apps section > Click Store connections > Actions.

You will see three settings on the dropdown, out of which you need to take care of the below two

  1. Courier mapping
  2. Auto-import settings

Courier mapping

When orders are auto-imported into the AfterShip Tracking system via one of the many eCommerce platforms, which in this case is Shopify, or uploaded via the CSV file, it is possible to map the couriers received from Shopify to couriers in AfterShip Tracking.

You can create a list to map Shopify couriers with AfterShip Tracking couriers to

  • Auto-import shipments flawlessly from Shopify
  • Update carriers for Shopify’s pending shipments in accordance with the new mapping in AfterShip admin

  1. Click Add courier mapping
  2. Input a Shopify carrier in the first dialogue box and AfterShip Tracking carrier in the second one to map the two same but differently named carriers

Additional considerations

  • For Shopify courier in the 'Others' category or when no mapping is found, AfterShip will auto-detect the carrier based on your active courier list to make the auto-import successful. Click here to modify your couriers settings
  • Enter the tracking number in format slug#trackingnumber to map confirmed shipments in Shopify with AfterShip carrier accurately (carrier mapping won’t be applied here)
  • If the courier service from the connecting source (Shopify) matches the courier service in AfterShip Tracking exactly then there is no need to setup courier service mappings explained in this guide

Auto-import settings

Auto-import settings allow you to automate the shipments import process. ** Checkout this article ** to set up your app auto-import settings.
